Privacy policy for the CitizenBacked prelaunch website.

What we collect

If you join our launch-alert list, we collect your email address, your signup time, and your consent to receive launch and availability notifications. We also create a private removal token so you can remove your registration.

The website and its hosting infrastructure may process technical request information, such as your IP address, requested page, browser information, and the time of a request, in hosting and security logs. This helps operate the website, troubleshoot errors, and prevent abuse.

This website does not accept payments or create user accounts. Please do not submit financial details or other sensitive personal information.

How we use it

We use your email to send the launch and availability notifications you requested and to manage your registration. Technical information is used to deliver and protect the website. We do not use your signup to create an advertising profile.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not use cookies, advertising trackers, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. Fonts and website assets are hosted with the site. Following a link to another website subjects your visit there to that website's practices.

Sharing

We do not sell your email address or share the launch-alert list with lobbying groups, advertisers, or data brokers. Hosting and service providers may process data as needed to operate the website or deliver requested notifications. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to address abuse or protect legal rights.

Storage and retention

Launch-alert registrations are stored on our server. We keep your registration while it is needed for the launch-alert list, unless you remove it sooner. Technical logs may be retained separately for operational and security purposes.

We take reasonable steps to protect collected information. No system or method of transmission can guarantee complete security.

Removing your email

At your first signup, we show a private removal link. Save that link. Using it allows you to remove your email from the launch-alert list and withdraw your consent to future launch alerts. If you sign up again with the same email, use the link from your original registration. Anyone with the original link can remove that registration, so keep it private.

Removal from the list does not necessarily remove technical hosting or security logs associated with a previous website request. If you lose the link, this website does not currently provide another self-service removal method.

Age requirement

The launch-alert list is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect launch-alert registrations from children.

As CitizenBacked develops

Payments, accounts, campaign submissions, and AI-assisted cause review are not active on this website. Before introducing services that collect additional information, we will explain the applicable data practices and update this policy.

Policy updates

Updates will appear on this page with a revised date. If an update materially changes how we use launch-alert information, we will provide notice before applying that change where required.
