Find your representatives.
Start with the people who represent you.
Use official government directories to find your U.S. House representative, your senators, and the right state or local office. Then prepare a letter in your own words.
Your U.S. House representative.
The House’s ZIP lookup identifies the congressional district or districts associated with your ZIP code and links to the serving member’s official website.
Some ZIP codes cross district boundaries. If the official service asks for a street address or ZIP+4, enter it there to narrow the results. A ZIP code alone may identify more than one district.
Trouble with the lookup? Browse the official House directory (new tab).
Your senators and local government.
Each state has two U.S. senators. State and local decisions may belong to a different office, such as a state legislator, city council, county official or school board.
Your selection stays in this page. Choose an official directory below to continue.
Select a state or territory to see its official directory links.
For city, county and other local offices, use USA.gov’s elected-officials directory (new tab).
Official sources. Current officeholders.
Results are supplied by the government directories you open, rather than a stored list of names on CitizenBacked. Election results may change who serves in the next term; confirm who is currently in office before sending your message.
